Alex Ebstein is a Baltimore-based artist who uses the flexible nature of perception and mixed-media materials to create imagery that morphs between observational and subconscious. Her work utilizes a visual index of organic shapes, which may be literal or metaphorical extensions of the body’s simultaneous presence and absence.  Despite a decidedly hand-made approach, her unorthodox media and obvious graphic design tropes are cheeky allusions to mass-produced industrial goods, reminiscent of Warholian humor.

Alex Ebstein's work has been exhibited at Victori + Mo Gallery in New York, CES Gallery in Los Angeles, Frutta Gallery in Rome, and Galerie L’Inlassable in Paris, among many other galleries and collections across the country.
